How do you find resilience during these times of transition?

What brings me resilience during these times is a consistent self care practice. I wake up early and dance to some music I love, then I go to my journal and write and draw. I use specific techniques that enable me to tap into my intuition as I write and draw. When I do this, my perspective about life expands, and I can see the big picture of things more clearly. This soothes my nervous system and gives me a more positive perspective on life’s challenges.

If You are looking for a way to incorporate self care into you life, journaling is an excellent way to begin for a few reasons:

-Journals are simple, all you need is a pen and paper

-They create a private space where you can be alone with your thoughts

-Journals travel well.

-Journals catalog a journey. They hold multiple days worth of thoughts, expression, and insight that can be used as wisdom at a later time.

-Journals track progress

You can make a journal at any time, or go buy one. So why do this with me?

-I’ll teach you how to use Intentional Creativity®, a method that has been scientifically proven to balance the right and left sides of the brain promoting relaxation and increasing problem solving skills. Intentional Creativity® is a global movement that has transformed the lives of thousands of people worldwide.

-There is no one else like you. No one can fill your place in the world. In this class, you will create something that is unique to you, that reflects your unique creative expression and also serves a very practical function.

-You will leave with directions so you will be able to take what you learn and apply it to future journals.

Those who like this method often create a number of journals for specific purposes and experience transformations in their lives.

I have been journaling for over 20 years, in that time I have taught many others how to create their own journals and enjoyed hearing about the positive results.

In my early 20’s, I joined an Artist Way group. In this group it was requirement to wake up and write 3 pages every morning for 3 months. I did and continue to do so to this day.

10 years ago I found myself in a very dark place. I was ill, and feeling very lost. I began learning how to infuse my journals with intention using Intentional Creativity® and something magical happened. My morning pages turned into a deeper conversation with my intuition. Over time, I began to realize that the things I was writing about were manifesting in my life. I was able to heal my body and live my dreams.

Did I know 20 years ago, that my morning pages were going to evolve into me building a career around helping others heal with creativity and journaling? Nope. Journaling was simply part of my self care routine. I showed up everyday, and just did it because it made life better.

I was inspired to show others how to do the same, so I became a certified Intentional Creativity® teacher and coach. I have helped people from diverse backgrounds, ages 8 to 78, create journals and add a touch of beauty to their lives.

If journaling seems like a great tool for your own self care I invite you to give this a try. If you think it would benefit those in your inner circle, ask them to join you in creating this journal and implementing your self care plans together. Its more fun that way!

In love,

Tricia
